SO True,.....

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1)
Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2)
Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3)
Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4)
Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5)
Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6)
That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7)
Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8)
Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying Go To Hell!
(9)
Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

Today

Today when we pulled up to the church building Liza yelled out, "Jesus, Were HOME!"
I guess she thought he should know.

Then this afternoon when I spilled a little milk she put her hands to her cheeks and said, "Oh my GOSH!!" (Trust me it sounded really cute.)

I think she has hit the two year old stage of saying cute surprising things,
I'll never forget the time when Mae was this age and got a pop tent in the mail from her Grandma, when it popped up she screamed, "HOLY COW"!

Or the time when she pooted and looked at me and very proudly announced, " I Daddy!"

I hope I never forget all the funny things they say!

I now want to play with a sling shot!

AND YES THIS GUY DOES LIVE NEAR ME! LOL!

The new house (to be continued....)

Well were all finished moving in, "down the road apiece". We found a good deal on a house that is bigger and cheaper, so if anyone was wondering what had happened for a few weeks to me there it is. We dont live far from where we were before, I just love this house SO much more! Hey I'm starting to rhyme!
I did not take very many pictures during the move because of all the craziness, but the few I got were these;
My little Tinkerbell didn't take her out fit off for a week unless forced to for necessary washing.

Uncle Joseph and Big Sister decided that Tinkerbell need a little house of her own.
So one day while exploring the backyard they created this quality home, complete with flower garden and mailbox.

So here's the new place, I'd say its terrific! I think all its lacking is a pool,....

Stop and Hear the Music

I haven't blogged in awhile, we've been very busy with the move and sickness. (We all had a turn with the stomach bug going round YUK!) I will post later about us moving, its been quite a blessing!
But when I read this it touched me because I LOVE this music, my parents did a wonderful job instilling a taste for it in me when I was younger. SO I had to put it on here while I was thinking of it, or I'd forget. One of the many blessing of being a mom, you don't remember anything your supposed to do until it too late! LOL!
I looked it up on youtube and contrary to the story there were people who stopped and listened and clapped. It was refreshing to know that there are people willing to stop and listen.

From The Effective Club

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.

In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston and the seats average $100.

This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of an social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?

One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

Another great one from overheard in the ward,...

Primary Leader: The Temple is the House of the Lord

CTR boy whispering to his neighbor: If the temple is Gods house, then the church must be Gods garage.
