You gotta fight for your right to..., natural childbirth?!
Okay so according to my Dr. I am officially two day past my due date and it doesn't look like I'm going to be delivering any time soon.
I have had a feeling for weeks now that this was going to be the case. This baby just knows Mommy isn't ready yet.
Yes this past week I have been getting all his clothes and blankets washed and his crib set up. but there are still so many little things I have yet to do!
I need to pack the girls over night bags in case they have to go to Nonnie and Pappy's for the night, and a bunch of other small things that others would think are silly but I dont feel complete without finishing.
And WHY aren't these things finished?
Mainly because I DO NOT move at a normal speed at all anymore, and every time I bend over (or squat down) to pick things up it feels like the baby is just being pushed up into my lungs so I cant breathe!
All of this I can let go. I can just accept that my bathroom is not spotless when I bring him home, I just cant wait to have him home to love on!
My real dilemma right now is my Dr.'s office.
I think my Dr. is AWESOME, I love her! I also love the birthing center where I'll be going.
However, they are completely stuck on the idea that my due date was the 10th.
Now anyone who has done thier research knows that a due date is more of a guess-ti-matte.
Even after an ultrasound you are supposed to give the date a five day leeway, (meaning I could be due on the 15th).
I believe my due date is not until the 15th and to be truly past due would be if I haven't have the baby until the 22nd.
My Dr. went and scheduled me an appointment for an induction for the 19th!!!!!
I know she's worried but shouldn't she see that my body is not progressing into labor and this is my third child, I know what to feel for?
I hate confrontations. I dont want to make her angry, but I think I know my body better than she does.
I DO NOT want to be induced.
So I think I might have to risk making her angry and not show up for the induction on the 19th.
Dum-Dum-Dum!
To Be Continued!......

Please.
There are female jokes and there are unisex jokes. Here is a joke I consider a true female joke.
I offer it to you in the hopes that women will love it and men will pass it along to a woman who will love it!
A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when Steven, a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.
This seasoned yet playful heartthrob noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As any man would.) Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00... on one condition..."
Flabbergasted but intrigued, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply and passionately into his eyes, barely concealing her anticipation and excitement, and slowly and meaningfully said....
"Clean my house."

Just cal 911!
I thought all my friends on blogger would enjoy this,
( for those of you on my fb you've probably already seen it.)
( for those of you on my fb you've probably already seen it.)
Timothy the 2nd!
I had a friend tell me the other day that she and her husband don't mind telling people the sex of their babies while pregnant but they don't tell anyone the name they have picked out until the baby is born.
Now maybe I'm just being grumpy preggo lady but my first thought was, "who cares?" Sure your extended family, grandparents would be excited to hear what the babies name is but, casual friends and acquaintances, I think you would irritate them more if you just didn't tell them the sex of the baby, because then they don't know what to get you for a gift.
I don't care if everyone knows what were having, we get so excited about our kids we do nothing but talk about them, ( yes, we are THOSE annoying people.)
My husband, Tim, his full name is for a figure in our church whom we love dearly, and look up to.
For privacy reason's I wont put his whole name on here, but I will say I've always loved Tim's name.
Also, knowing my husband since I was 15 years old , I can tell when he REALLY wants something.
He really wants a Timothy Jr.
I was going to fight it but I saw the 4-d ultra sound and I cant argue that the boy looks just like his daddy.

We did have to come to an impasse though. Living in the south you just cant call a kid Junior or Bubba. You'll no doubt get that one relative who says the name with such a redneck twang you cant stand it.
So were just going to name him after his daddy, and call him Timothy.

As with both the girls I have been fighting a few family members off with annoying nicknames they want to give him. I think the only nicknames that will stick will be the ones the girls give him,
You know like, "annoying little brother"!!!!!
Personally, I still call one of my baby brothers Spud-head.
My poor baby boy! LOL!

Laughter is the best Medicine

In 2006 Tim, Mae, and I lived in a tiny little apartment in Gillette Wy. Having lived there the longest we got to see a fun turn over of neighbors. We became known to everyone in the building as the "Religious People", who if you talked to us we would try to either get you to our church or get you to talk to our missionaries.
Generally that was laughed off because as soon as people met us they realized we weren't TOO scary! Also the fact that Mae was a chubby two year old with golden curls that told EVERYONE she loved them didn't hurt either.
During this time I was pregnant with Eliza, and working a 3:am newspaper route, we really were busting at the seams in that tiny home, and Tim wishing he was in school was working 13-15 hour days. We had no right whatsoever to be happy.
During this time we also had a very sweet, beautiful, American Indian, Grandmother living in the Apartment below us. She had moved to the area to become a nurse at the local hospital. she lived by herself and knowing that any Grandma living by herself would love a two year old, I introduced her to Mae! It was love at first sight of course.
She taught me some yummy new recipes, and I took her to church with me. Needless to say we were good friends.
One day I went down to visit her and she was looking very tired and discouraged.
Her daughter who lived in another state was in trouble with life, and my grandmother friend could not get to her to take care of her.
I offered what words of comfort I could, saying that even though I could not relate to what she was going through I was sure My mother or Tim's mother could. Considering both Tim and I were in Wyoming alone and our parents were living in South Carolina and Georgia!!
She started to laugh! I thought I was being pretty sympathetic and she was laughing! I was confused.
"What's the joke?", I asked.
She replied, " I don't want you to be embarrassed, but from what I can hear through my ceiling, your parents have nothing to worry about!"
HOLY CRUD! I thought. What the heck has she heard?!?!?!
From the look on my face she must have guessed what I was thinking because she hastily said,
" Don't worry, its nothing bad, I just constantly hear ALL of you laughing, and sometimes when the window is open I can hear you say your family prayers.
I think to myself, what can these poor children who are struggling to get by, and have no family near, possibly have to laugh about?"
I started to laugh myself at the irony, and told her more about the church and our wonderful family support through our ward, and that saying our prayers together was one of the many things we did to keep a happy spirit in our home.
We joked some more and Mae and I left her a little more cheerful than we found her.
I was thinking of this story last week as I was laughing at something a friend had posted online.
I thought, "Man it feels good to laugh!"
I then realized I don't laugh as much as I used too.
Why?
Is reality finally catching up to me , as Tim and I work like crazy to make ends meet, we are barely surviving, and like before I'm pregnant and not much help.
I'm not as happy as I was and I don't know why. I think I'm being put through a test to see how I'll handle different circumstances, but the same problems. I'm making a goal to hold my past self (and other great women I know of) up as examples to myself.
Perhaps that will help my disposition and attitude improve.
I want this baby to come out and hear mama's laugh and know what it is.
If the next time you see me laughing and you cant tell why, just think, "she's not crazy, she's happy, and that's what important!"

I need a road rage counsel, aparently,...
Mae is officially in Pre-K even though we have been doing pre-K for a year now. I think pretty soon I'm just going to start her in Kindergarten work, otherwise she's going to get really bored.
Last week we were learning about different kinds of transportation. (When I say we I mean Myself, Mae, Liza, and Ethan.)
We colored these cute cars then put wheels on them that really turn! "Oh cool mom!"
Well just as a suggestion I told Mae she could draw people in the car, (note; Mae's people are the bubble headed type with arms and legs but no other appendages or detail other than facial features.)
I didn't really LOOK at Mae's pictures until it was time to hang it up.

Okay, if you see what I see the person in front does NOT look happy, so I asked my daughter why the driver was sad,
"She's not sad Mommy, she's angry because their having fun in the backseat and she's TRYING TO DRIVE!''
Mae delivered the "trying to drive" part to me in a scarily accurate replica of myself.
Upon hearing that I realized I must be the grumpiest driver in the world, God forgive me, I never let my kids "have fun" in the back seat!
So I felt a little better when the next Sunday, on the way to church Liza started to fuss.
When inquiries where made as to why, all she would say was, "Mommy do it!"
Mae patiently explained to her retarded parents that Liza was upset that whenever Daddy was in the car he never let Mommy drive, and they both wanted me in the driver seat.
I thought that was silly until Daddy laughed and said,"Its because Mommy gets there faster isn't it?!" Both girls one weepy, one giggly, both said, "YES!"
Apparently I need to learn to smile while driving and slow down.

Here is Liza's cute car, just so she isn't left out.

Just Keep Blogging, Just Keep Blogging, hmmm, hmmm,.......
I know every one would LOVE to see the hilarious video of Mae's dance recital, the one where she was notoriously a step ahead of the teacher or a step behind depending on if it was interesting enough to keep her attention.
Let me tell you when Snow White came through the door,.. she couldn't be torn away from the fifteen year old in a second hand costume.
I was very proud of her though because it looked like she's paid attention to all those annoying Angelina Ballerina video's, she had the best posture than any other girl and walked on her tippy-toes the whole time!
I'm sure that if a little more attention was paid by Mae it would have been a thoroughly boring event. She would have done everything perfectly and I would not have such a great video to offer.
Unfortunately I cant find the cord to the video camera to hook it up to the computer!
I am VERY frustrated by this, and sorry. But here are a few pictures that will give you and idea of the fun time had at the week long Disney Dance Camp 2009!

IT'S A BOY!
Even though I haven't made it to the blogging world much lately I just wanted everyone to know we are having a boy, our first! I haven't written much, but I am really excited about this pregnancy. (It's a lot easier to be excited now that I'm not throwing up fifty times a day.)
I have an enormous to do list, starting off with getting the girls bunk beds so "Baby Boy" can have his crib, (Liza is still occupying it.)
Then yesterday while folding laundry I realized I have over 100 baby blankets, all of which over 80% are PINK! This poor kid is going to be covered in pink! I already know I have NO clothes for him.
"Okay Becka, calm down your only in your 20th week,...........Holy Cow! That means I only have five months to get ready!!!!!!!"
Train of thought,...I have none, my head is all over the place!
But I look at cute sonogram pictures and I love him already. (I think he already has Tim's profile.)

Where I've Been
I know I haven't blogged in awhile my excuse being that I'm officially pregnant! Because of that reading the computer, or any book really, gives me this feeling of carsickness/nausea. So I don't think I'll be on very much, however not to neglect my journalism duties, I will post some pictures from Mae's fourth birthday and Liza's second.
I have had a ton of funny neat things that I've thought about blogging but I cant get my head from over the toilet long enough to type about them! I just LOVE morning sickness! (major sarcasm.)
I'm in kinda a hormonal funk right now so maybe posting these cute pictures will cheer me up.
Thanks for putting up with my wishy-washy-ness, I hope know one felt neglected.

Saying things Outloud!
Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Only by seeking challenges can we hope to find the best in ourselves.

What I saw vs. What was really there.....

I dont really celebrate Valentines day unless my sister comes over with chocolate and a movie which we do weekly so it doesn't really count. I prefer to use my energy on holidays like Father's/Mother's day and anniversaries. But Tim never fails to do something special for me.
This year when I came into the house it looked like he had just thrown a rose and some chocolate on the rest of the mess on the counter top. I thought, "Gee, the least he could do is clean off the table!"
My female eyes are so trained to see his stuff as nothing but, "Junk on the table", I failed to realize that the real gift was under the chocolate and cost over 100.00. He had gotten the car parts and manual to fix my car that has been acting funny.
Tim actually fixing the car is a big deal because he doesn't have much time to do things like that with work and school.
He re-showed me the gift and I of course gave him a hug n' kiss, etc.
Now here's where I could be all female-ish about it and say that he found another excuse to go get another manual and tool,........
But I'll be good and say; I love my Hubby this Valentines Day!
