Wishing, Dreaming, Watching

Okay so I know the dance season is over but I ran across these pictures and I have to tell this story.

So your two years old and Mom drags you every Wednesday to go sit in a foyer with a bunch of other Mommies. While they have their hen party your stuck watching your big sister (who you love and admire) dance and play it up in pink leotards and tutus! Talk about unfair!

On the rare occasion that your leotard is clean and you wear it, you've been mistaken for one of the girls in the class, and was able to sneak in twice before they realized they had an extra kid in there.

Every week the question and the answer are the same, "am I old enough to go to dance class Mommy?" "Not until your three." "But Mommy I'm taller today!"

I am happy to say little dancer turned three in April and will be attending dance camp this summer. (Mind you, PRINCESS dance camp!)

But I was amazed this morning walking into the living room both my dancers doing the dance routine taught last year in class step for step!

The new house (to be continued....)

Well were all finished moving in, "down the road apiece". We found a good deal on a house that is bigger and cheaper, so if anyone was wondering what had happened for a few weeks to me there it is. We dont live far from where we were before, I just love this house SO much more! Hey I'm starting to rhyme!
I did not take very many pictures during the move because of all the craziness, but the few I got were these;
My little Tinkerbell didn't take her out fit off for a week unless forced to for necessary washing.

Uncle Joseph and Big Sister decided that Tinkerbell need a little house of her own.
So one day while exploring the backyard they created this quality home, complete with flower garden and mailbox.

So here's the new place, I'd say its terrific! I think all its lacking is a pool,....

Her Lovies

I know this doesn't have much to do with Christmas but as I was going through pictures for Christmas, I realized how many "LOVIES" my little 20 month old Liza has!

Our first model is the very sleek and cuddly, beanie baby type kitty cat, determinedly named, "Meow".

The next model is the very "in-style" sheek, awesome, BOPPY!
(History note on the Boppy, Mommy didn't have one with big sister Mae, but made a special point of going and getting one while pregnant with Liza. Who has now deamed it as "hers". Oh my Lord, save us from the war that will erupt when Mommy has another baby and needs the darn thing again!)

As always since day one, Big Sister has always been there to cuddle.

Now for the best most grande, usually dirty, most loved,......BLANKIE!

Daddy's always there as well.

(Note if this picture looks bent to you, dont worry your not crazy, it is in a frame in her room and is very "loved".)

Just looking through photos and finding that my little girl is such a loving caring spirit, I hope she never changes. Even when people inevitably hurt her, I hope she always has the strength to love.

True Story!

There once was a little girl named Mae, who loved to play and sing all day,

Even while riding in the car, the same tune she would repeat, OVER and OVER.

It got so that you would be glad for any other tune, even red rover!

With ears ringing, her mother pleaded,
"Mae, isn't there another tune you could be singing?!"

Undaunted, Mae kept going on and on.

Finally her mother yelled, "MAE, pick another SONG!"

Without missing a beat Mae replied,
"Well its better than nothing at all!"

When both mother and father bust out laughing in a crazy way,
Mae looked up and inquired, "What did I say?"

When they started laughing harder is when baby sister caught on to the joke,
and laughed it up almost like she'd been given a poke!

"The Ballet of The Halloween Candy Kiddos"

Our church had a fall festival last week, including a trunk or treat. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of everyone because I was carrying Liza around the whole time. What I did manage to get was when I was sitting down. And it was the best! But I have to tell this story from the beginning, on the way to the church that night my super pink and frilly ballerina in the back seat would not stop talking about one thing. Her friend Sophia.
"Mommy, isn't Sophia pretty!"
"I love Sophia SO much!"
"Sophia is my BEST friend."
"Sophia is going to be a ballerina just like me, and we are both going to have tutu's, and we are both going to wear PINK!"
I started to get worried, imagining Sophia showing up in a cute black little witches out fit.
So I tried to convince a three year old to be prepared for disappointment in case Sophia did not dress like a matching bottle of pepto-bismol. Has anyone else ever tried to CONVINCE a three year old of something that is the opposite of what they have set their mind too?
I assure you it does not work.
I was informed in a very adult tone that I was incorrect and that Sophia knew how to be a princess/ballerina/fairy, no matter what I thought of her abilities.
We get to into the gym where the tables are set for dinner, and before my brain could register what was happening my ballerina ran off to squeal, hug, and dance around in a circle with another entirely pink, tutu-ed, fairy, (she had wings!)
I was so relieved, Mae was anything BUT disappointed.
Mae and Sophia were inseparable the whole night.
The game of the evening was to hold hands and jump up and down, whilst giggling. Soon little sister had to get into the act. I never thought I'd see a fairy, a ballerina, and a Candy Corn, dance in a circle.
I was like watching "The Ballet of The Halloween Candy Kiddos".
Even while trick or treating they held hands.

Fire Trucks!!

We went out for the fire safety awareness day in Central. The girls got stickers, coloring books, and the best of all climbed on the fire engines! the girls had a blast and I'll admit I went a little camera crazy, but they were so thrilled I had to get it.
I had fun too, those firemen where, shall I say it,...On FIRE! HA-HA! J/K!
