Super Survey Day

Jess sent this to me via e-mail and I'm just now getting to it, so instead of e-mailing it back around to everyone I'm just posting it here. Anyone who knows me reads my blog instead anyway, even if it does bore them out of their skulls.


1.What is your occupation right now ?
Teaching Mae her Letter sounds, teaching Liza her shapes and colors, teaching Ethan his facial features, teaching Bullet to NOT chew every piece of clothing I own, teaching Tim how to unload the dishwasher.
I'm a Teacher!


2.What color are your socks right now?
White with red strawberries and pink toes. ( I love crazy socks.)


3.What are you listening to right now?
Chicken Little's opening song.

4.What was the last thing that you ate?
A power bar, that isn't working.

5.Can you drive a stick shift?
Oh so well! And learning it was a big accomplishment for me, but that's another blog,...

6.Last person you spoke to on the phone?
My hubby's boss wanting him to work tonight even though it supposed to be my date to Twilight tonight. Oh well I'll let him decide.

7.Do you like the person who sent this to you?
I adore her, even if she doesn't think she deserves it.


8.How old are you today?
27 years young, I so feel younger than I am.

9.What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
Watching is no fun, I love to play baseball with the doggies, hehe, they make great outfielders.

Lately its been Ginger Ale, but it changes, last it was Dr. Pepper, so you never know, I think I'll go to Hot Chocolate next!


11.Have you ever dyed your hair
Constantly, I must look as young as I am.

12.Favorite food?
EVERYTHING! (Especially veggies!) It would be a much shorter list telling what I dont like. No Rocky Mtn. Oysters for me thanks!

13.What is the last movie you watched?
Miracle on 34th street, the old Maureen O'Hara one.

Any of my families birthdays. I love saying "You Are Special Today!"

15.How do you vent anger?
Unfortunately I take it all out on one person, even if he's not at fault, he's just the unlucky guy who gets to be my sounding board, punching bag, and teddy bear. Poor Hubby.

My Samantha Doll and little brother and sister.

Spring!!!!! New babies, Both my babies birthday's, New bunnies, Easter eggs, hiking, camping, new flowers, the works!

Blueberries and Strawberries!!!

A dumpy old house that will have to do until were done w/ school.

I think I'll cry today if I dont get my date.

WOW! I could just say shoes like everyone else, but I dont just have shoes, I have a shoe store, PLUS hubby's WEIRD collection of CANES! You got it canes! I dont know why, he doesn't need one, he's just an Eagle Scout who loves walking sticks and has this astronomical collection of weird canes. I am not kidding.

My family - if they bother to read it.

26.What did you do last night
Watched an old Christmas movie, took the dog out, went to bed. (Hubby works third shift, I'm alone.)

That when we get to Indiana for Thanksgiving dinner I wont be able to eat for the car sickness.

The plastic kind that don't poop or chew things up.

Saturday is a special day.....it's the day we get ready for SUNDAY!

Dumbest kid in town

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer 'This is the dumbest kid in town.... watch while I prove it to you.'

The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks 'Which do you want, son?'

The boy takes the quarters and leaves.

'What did I tell you?' said the barber. 'That kid never learns!'

Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice ream store. 'Hey, son! May I ask you a question... why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?'

The boy licked his cone and replied 'Because the day I take the dollar, the game's over!'

Inspiring

Things were capable of if we work together.

I got him to read it!

I got my hubby to read TWILIGHT!
I made a deal w/ him that I would go to a football game this Saturday and next Sat. he wanted to take me to a movie.
Well the only thing worth seeing is TWILIGHT!!!!


But there is no way I was going to take him if he hadn't read the book. Otherwise I would just be offering my lovely movie up for ridicule. I dont have any close girlfriends near to go with me. So I was going to go alone.
Then yesterday, with slumped shoulders, and a roll of the eyes, hubby holds up my copy of TWILIGHT and asks, "Is this the one I start with?"
AW! He really does want to take me on a date!


But I had to laugh a few minutes later when from the bedroom I hear, "Honey? What on earth is a eyelet lace shirt?!"

PROPER ENGLISH

Tim had a fun experience in English class.
The teacher was trying to emphasis punctuation, on the board he wrote;

WOMAN WITH OUT HER MAN IS USELESS

The female portion of the class was instantly offended, whereas there was a bit of sniggering from the males.
The teacher said, " Hold on, see what happens when I use correct punctuation!"
He then made the following changes;


WOMAN: WITHOUT HER, MAN IS USELESS!

Three little changes to the sentence and it has been corrected!
I guess it all depends on how you look at things. :)

True Story!

There once was a little girl named Mae, who loved to play and sing all day,

Even while riding in the car, the same tune she would repeat, OVER and OVER.

It got so that you would be glad for any other tune, even red rover!




With ears ringing, her mother pleaded,
"Mae, isn't there another tune you could be singing?!"

Undaunted, Mae kept going on and on.

Finally her mother yelled, "MAE, pick another SONG!"






Without missing a beat Mae replied,
"Well its better than nothing at all!"


When both mother and father bust out laughing in a crazy way,
Mae looked up and inquired, "What did I say?"

When they started laughing harder is when baby sister caught on to the joke,
and laughed it up almost like she'd been given a poke!

MAGNADOODLE MAE

Mae loves to write her name on her magnadoodle, (courtesy of Grandma!)
So one day after doing a "A" project she disappeared for a bit then came back running to show me she started drawing A's everywhere!
My walls are so pretty now.
I'm begging her to stick to the magnadoodle.

Ants, Airplanes, and Asparagus, what a week.

I have to do something to keep my mind off of others things going on around me. (These presidential elections have really left me drained!)
So here are some pictures from our school last week!

It was "A" week! We Studied Ants, Airplanes, Art, Asparagus, and Apple PIE!!!
The Ants were a big hit, the asparagus was a regurgitated failure.
Oh and BTW, don't ever study something in depth with a three year old that she could possibly catch you killing later.
All of a sudden all ants even the ones invading the kitchen are "SO CUUUTE!"
Never thought I'd console a kid after squashing a bug.

I made the best mistake ever by asking who Barbaloot was tagging, and got tagged!

A- Attached or Single?
I'd have to say very attached. Funny story though, Tim had a bad dream and woke up gave me a hug and said, "Please don't ever leave". I laughed at the silliness of his dream and told him I'd never leave however I'd be more inclined to stay if he bought me the kickin', red 6' heels I saw last night. He just laughed, I don't think I'm going to get them.

B- Best Friend?
Paris Hilton is, like, totally my new BFF. It's SO cool. We spend tons of time talking about important things like which is better: the old NKOTB or the new?
Technically, I'm not, like, supposed to say anything till the season finale airs...so, like, keep my secret. K?

C- Cake or Pie?
Personally I love to devour no bake cookie's! But according to everyone else I can make a totally wicked pie.

Any day that Tim is out of school and we can goof off, with the girls. (Sunday!)

SHOES!!!!!!!!!! There is a pair of shoes for any occasion, sometimes even barefoot is lovely,...!

F- Favorite Color?
The color Tim's and the girls eyes get when they get excited, its like this ultra-bright-BLUE.

G- Gummy Bears or Worms?
WORMS! Especially the sour ones!

H- Hometown?
Smyrna/Marietta Georgia. But since I would never live there again, but I would live in Wyoming again I can say Gillette Wy. too!

I- Favorite Indulgence?
Well if you couldn't tell from before, I used to buy shoes when ever I could find an excuse. But now that I cant do that any more,

July, I love watching babies play in the sprinklers.

Rats and mice most definitely. If my kids ever want a pet that resembles on eof those things, their so out of luck.

I love spring and fall, the in between seasons are the most colorful, and the best time to get out and stretch your imagination.

Very. And I hate to be tickled, I think my dad and brothers did it too much and ruined it for me.

According to Tim when I got preggo, I acquired the super sonic sense of smell and sound.
So I'll go w/ x-ray vision, so then I can see who really has been the one dumping out the goldfish crackers on the floor.

Whatever Paula Deen or Rachael Ray will make for me,..wow what a nice dream,...:)


Z- Zodiac Sign? Taurus. Yes, I'm stubborn, but I also get the job done. :)

Wind Sock Running

Last month Mae was studying the different season's. One of her crafts was to make a wind sock. this is Mae and her creation which thanks to the miracle of scotch tape survived its first encounter with little sister.

I was goofing off on youtube and was listening to the songs from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, (I love that movie) when Tim heard what I was listening too and BUSTS out singing Howard Keel's song of bless your beautiful hide. I GOT GOOSEBUMPS! He sounded exactly like the guy! It was then I realized that Tim looks just very similar to Adam in the movie as well. It's a scary thing when a woman comes to the conclusion she's married to a 1950's good looking, good singing, male chauvinist pig.
I'm just kidding. Tim is wonderful, He's my best friend!

I love the Backyardagins!

I have a confession;
I work out to the backyardagins. When your stuck at home all day and you don't get much of a chance to go work out, you work out when you can. Mae and Liza love to dance around with me when I'm working out so we do it to music they like. Hence, The Backyardagins.

I don't really like rap but it looks so funny on here, I love it.

Trick or Sick?

I'm Sick! I hate being sick! What happens when mommy is sick?
Everyone else gets sick and Mommy gets to take care of them.
I don't want to complain.


But when Mama's out of it, nothing much gets done around here.


Oh well, I WILL SURVIVE! As a great woman once said.
