Daddy can do anything!

Watch out I might tag you next!

Back in the beginning of December I was totally blown over to hear that the adorable, victorious, unquenchable, Barbaloot instilled an award on me!
One where I am assigned the task of listing five things I love. But now the month has flown by and I have not lived up to my expectations!
As I never do whats expected of me, I'm going to list five of the most "interesting" things that have happened this month. I hope you find them as interesting as I do.

1)Liza has officially denounced the dog as Bullet. He is now officially, Shut-it.
SHUT-IT GET DOWN! SHUT-IT COME HERE! aw, I wuv yoo too Shut-it!

2)When ever I sing along to the song Little Drummer boy I start to cry always at the line "I played my best for him", little did I know that Mae has been watching me closely and memorized the song. So when we were karaoke-ing at Tim's parents, she was able to get up w/ Daddy and sing it with him! At that line I caught her sneaking a peek at me, she smiled a traitor smile when she saw I was balling! Little twerp.

3)At my Grandmother's beautiful, museum-like, anti-children house, Liza knocked over a antique oil lamp. (One that looked like one the ten virgins would have carried.)
Luckily Daddy caught it before any damaged was done. But a few minutes later I heard a deafening crash from the kitchen.
Looking around I saw my sister about to cry. While she was feeding her some cereal, Abbie (6 months) grabbed the glass bowl and knocked it on the floor.
Everyone was silent for a second, until I threw my fists in the air and said,
"YES! NOT MY KID!"
I consoled my sister by telling her the next story.

4)Mae is just her cover name, her real name is Super Girl. The child has untold strength! For such a cute blonde little girl she is freakishly strong!

My in laws couch is a big thing that has stood the test of time. Both the ends of the couch recline like a lazy boy would. But the middle is just a regular piece of couch.

Daddy was reclined on one end and Pop-pop one the other, Mae wanted to be just like them and sit in the middle and recline. But the darn foot thing wouldn't come up!

So she pulled with all her might until she ripped the sucker off!
Were talking ripped out screws, and torn in half wood!!!!!

She was standing there holding the gargantuan piece of mutilated couch, when Daddy found his voice and full named her very loudly!

She ran to the cover of Grandma who was about to die laughing.
When I finally found my voice I asked her what was so funny?!

She said, "I get a new couch!"

5)I know the next one should be about Liza but I cant leave this out, its classic Mae.

At my Grandparents house our family was reunited with cousins of my Grandfather whom we had not seen since I was about six years old.
They are really sweet awesome people, and I was having fun getting to know them all over again. So I wasn't paying attention when this strange event occurred.

Mae : Hi! What's your name?

Little boy cousin about the same age as Mae: Scooter, what's yours?

Scooter's Grandpa: Oh I know what her name is! Its Bob!

Mae (laughing) : NO!

Scooter's Grandpa: Is it Roy?

Mae: Nooo

Scooter's Grandpa: Is it Bill?

Mae: Nope!

Scooter's Grandpa: Is it Dave?

Mae: NO!

Scooter's Grandpa: Is it Cornelius?

Mae: No way!

Scooter's Grandpa: Well I just cant figure out what it is then! I just don't know! What IS your name?

Mae: You know my name!

Scooter's Grandpa: No I don't, what is it?

Mae: Its Sleeping Beauty of course!

Scooter: Oh okay, Mommy can I go play with Sleeping Beauty?

Unfortunately for Scooter, to this very day, he still believes her name is Sleeping Beauty.

Now I am going to pass the "Major Award" along to others! Aren't you lucky!
This award goes out to Lorena, Nicole, Jess (cuz I know you have nothing better to do), Kristina, Jamie, and Lisa Loo! I love you all!

The Shepard's Dinner

My mother has a wonderful knack of teaching and helping everyone understand the significance of special occasions.
This year to more fully understand the life and times of the shepherds keeping their watch when the Angel of the Lord came to them the night of Christ's birth, Mom had us re-enact that night. She had a dinner of flat bread, grapes, cheese, and a little grape juice, prepared for us in a sack.
We came dressed as shepherds, ate on the floor then followed the star to the baby Jesus. (Who was conveniently under the tree, then we had to decorate Nonnie's tree, I think she just wanted to get some work out of us!)

Here is everyone (but Tim who was really bummed he missed it,) enjoying our shepherds dinner!

I love the Nativity

One of my most favorite things of this season is the Nativity. These are a few that we own, and ones that I would love to obtain. I love to think of how Mary must have felt looking at her remarkable child. Were all biased about our own children, what must it have been like for her?
Children are what makes the season bright!

Her Lovies

I know this doesn't have much to do with Christmas but as I was going through pictures for Christmas, I realized how many "LOVIES" my little 20 month old Liza has!

Our first model is the very sleek and cuddly, beanie baby type kitty cat, determinedly named, "Meow".

The next model is the very "in-style" sheek, awesome, BOPPY!
(History note on the Boppy, Mommy didn't have one with big sister Mae, but made a special point of going and getting one while pregnant with Liza. Who has now deamed it as "hers". Oh my Lord, save us from the war that will erupt when Mommy has another baby and needs the darn thing again!)

As always since day one, Big Sister has always been there to cuddle.

Now for the best most grande, usually dirty, most loved,......BLANKIE!

Daddy's always there as well.

(Note if this picture looks bent to you, dont worry your not crazy, it is in a frame in her room and is very "loved".)

Just looking through photos and finding that my little girl is such a loving caring spirit, I hope she never changes. Even when people inevitably hurt her, I hope she always has the strength to love.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

I need help! I made chocolate candy to send to my friends and it seemed a good idea at the time,...

but as you all know by now sometimes I rush ahead without thinking,...

and now I realize I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAIL CHOCOLATE, without it malting of course.

If I dont find out soon I'm going to be stuck with a freezer full of a HUNDRED, (not kidding) chocolate covered spoons, and chocolate covered peanut butter balls!

My hubby suggested dry ice, but I dont have the money for that. I was just thinking send it so its only in the mail 1-2 days?

What do you all think?

PLEASE HELP ME!

Happy Thanksgiving

It's taking me way to long to get my posts out with the holidays here so I'm gonna wrap up our Thanksgiving trip.
I just want everyone to know that even though I'm rarely ever able to get to the computer I'm always thinking of thing's to write about! The thought, "oh that would be an awesome story to tell" goes through my head at least once a day.

Well we reached Indiana without too much else momentous happening.
And the girls were super excited to see their cousins, and especially the animals.

We go on hiking trips and were outdoors alot around here so I think they just thought we were on another outdoor adventure.

With lots of poop! Mae was astonished at how much poop there was everywhere!
"Why don't they clean it up mama?"
"Because its outside, they don't have too."
"But what if we walk in it?"
"Watch where your going and try not too."

---Grandma walking ahead of us,,,,,,
"Darn it! Steve! I just stepped in POOP!"
---Pop-Pop walking ahead of us,,,,,,,
"Well watch where your walking!"
---Mae,,,,
"Yes, Grandma watch where your walking, now you have to buy new shoes!"

I thought Mae & Liza would be a bit scared of the cows, (they look big to me!) And Mae always says pigs are her fav. animal, so I thought she would be okay w/ them, boy I had that completely backwards!

They were more than fine with the cows, even to the point of trying to call out to them. (Imagine Liza saying MOOOOO! In an irate voice to the stuck up animal ignoring her, how could they!)

But when we went to see the pigs, they were not the cute pink, little sweeties Mae had in mind!

She can blame that one on me, I'm afraid I've disillusioned her with baby touch and feel DK books from day one. Shame on me.

Needless to say she was NOT fond of the pigs.

However the chickens, goat, and kittens made huge hits.

Then while the kids played dress up upstairs us women folk worked our cute lil' hinies off in the kitchen. We made a darn good dinner too if I do say so! Tim's sister made an amazing turkey and his mom made her famous squash casserole, (my sweet potato souffle wasn't bad either.)

All in all we had a great time and would love to go back, if we could make it w/o traffic and carsickness!

That's our trip in a nutshell, so now I can catch everyone up about our Holly, Jolly, Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally.)
