I love the Nativity

One of my most favorite things of this season is the Nativity. These are a few that we own, and ones that I would love to obtain. I love to think of how Mary must have felt looking at her remarkable child. Were all biased about our own children, what must it have been like for her?
Children are what makes the season bright!

Her Lovies

I know this doesn't have much to do with Christmas but as I was going through pictures for Christmas, I realized how many "LOVIES" my little 20 month old Liza has!

Our first model is the very sleek and cuddly, beanie baby type kitty cat, determinedly named, "Meow".

The next model is the very "in-style" sheek, awesome, BOPPY!
(History note on the Boppy, Mommy didn't have one with big sister Mae, but made a special point of going and getting one while pregnant with Liza. Who has now deamed it as "hers". Oh my Lord, save us from the war that will erupt when Mommy has another baby and needs the darn thing again!)

As always since day one, Big Sister has always been there to cuddle.

Now for the best most grande, usually dirty, most loved,......BLANKIE!

Daddy's always there as well.

(Note if this picture looks bent to you, dont worry your not crazy, it is in a frame in her room and is very "loved".)

Just looking through photos and finding that my little girl is such a loving caring spirit, I hope she never changes. Even when people inevitably hurt her, I hope she always has the strength to love.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

I need help! I made chocolate candy to send to my friends and it seemed a good idea at the time,...

but as you all know by now sometimes I rush ahead without thinking,...

and now I realize I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAIL CHOCOLATE, without it malting of course.

If I dont find out soon I'm going to be stuck with a freezer full of a HUNDRED, (not kidding) chocolate covered spoons, and chocolate covered peanut butter balls!

My hubby suggested dry ice, but I dont have the money for that. I was just thinking send it so its only in the mail 1-2 days?

What do you all think?

PLEASE HELP ME!

Happy Thanksgiving

It's taking me way to long to get my posts out with the holidays here so I'm gonna wrap up our Thanksgiving trip.
I just want everyone to know that even though I'm rarely ever able to get to the computer I'm always thinking of thing's to write about! The thought, "oh that would be an awesome story to tell" goes through my head at least once a day.

Well we reached Indiana without too much else momentous happening.
And the girls were super excited to see their cousins, and especially the animals.

We go on hiking trips and were outdoors alot around here so I think they just thought we were on another outdoor adventure.

With lots of poop! Mae was astonished at how much poop there was everywhere!
"Why don't they clean it up mama?"
"Because its outside, they don't have too."
"But what if we walk in it?"
"Watch where your going and try not too."

---Grandma walking ahead of us,,,,,,
"Darn it! Steve! I just stepped in POOP!"
---Pop-Pop walking ahead of us,,,,,,,
"Well watch where your walking!"
---Mae,,,,
"Yes, Grandma watch where your walking, now you have to buy new shoes!"

I thought Mae & Liza would be a bit scared of the cows, (they look big to me!) And Mae always says pigs are her fav. animal, so I thought she would be okay w/ them, boy I had that completely backwards!

They were more than fine with the cows, even to the point of trying to call out to them. (Imagine Liza saying MOOOOO! In an irate voice to the stuck up animal ignoring her, how could they!)

But when we went to see the pigs, they were not the cute pink, little sweeties Mae had in mind!

She can blame that one on me, I'm afraid I've disillusioned her with baby touch and feel DK books from day one. Shame on me.

Needless to say she was NOT fond of the pigs.

However the chickens, goat, and kittens made huge hits.

Then while the kids played dress up upstairs us women folk worked our cute lil' hinies off in the kitchen. We made a darn good dinner too if I do say so! Tim's sister made an amazing turkey and his mom made her famous squash casserole, (my sweet potato souffle wasn't bad either.)

All in all we had a great time and would love to go back, if we could make it w/o traffic and carsickness!

That's our trip in a nutshell, so now I can catch everyone up about our Holly, Jolly, Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally.)

ME DRIVING!!!!!

Cincinnatti Bridge Pictures, Images and Photos

HEART POUNDING.

COLD SWEAT.

LUNGS CRUSHED, CANT BREATHE.

IF I WRECK CHILDREN WILL NOT SURVIVE!

This is not the exact bridge I drove over, the one I drove had four lanes, two ON TOP, and two ON THE BOTTOM.

(stupid big metal death trap.)

I drove because Tim was zonked out next to me, but I had the worst panick attack crossing that thing! It didn't help that it was rush hour and the day before Thanksgiving.

But I was looking for HAPPY things dangit!

SO I was happy I had my mommy-in-law right in front of me in traffic to guide me, (and if I hit her car I would know she'd forgive me, eventually,) and that all those people were going to see family.

Yes I'm one of THOSE people.

Well it has been almost a month since I was able to get online, and I apologize. I feel so loved, so many people noticed I was missing! Boy do I have alot to share! When I left off the Thanksgiving season had begun, I'm going to start with our eventful trip to Fort Wayne Indiana to see Tim's family for Thanksgiving.

In short it was a blast! My Sister and Bro-in-law have a very beautiful well kept farm there, they live in a house that's more than 100 years old. But the biggest attraction was that both my children are the same ages as Shelly & Matt's. So When it was time to leave Mae was crying that she didn't want to go, and a week later she asked if we could go back!

But I'll start at the beginning, it was a 9 hour drive that took us 12. The first fiasco was that Mommy packed everything BUT things to do on the trip! So we stopped to get a box of crayons, coloring books, books, and card games.
Thanks to those books we now know that Mae gets CARSICK! We were going through Kentucky when Mae did not impertinently answer a question I'd asked her, I just heard, "Mommy that hurts." Tim looked behind him to see the ENTIRE backseat covered in throw-up! (Needless to say we had to throw the book away.)

After stopping to clean up I felt the need to speed so we could be on time to our meeting with Tim's parents.
You know those cops watch for people on Thanksgiving!!!!!!
Fortunately after showed him my license and smiled a cute smile I got away with just a slap on the wrist. (Dang I'm good.)

Of course we were late meeting up with Tim's parents but at least I got a POTTY BREAK!
(The highlight of the drive.)
While I was in the lovely public gas station ladies room, (we all know how those are) I wasn't in the best mood.

bathroom stalls are nice Pictures, Images and Photos

YES! I'm one of those people that reads wall graffiti!!!!

And for the first time ever I'm glad I did.

It went like this;

PERSON #1: "DO YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST BEAUTIFUL THING YOU EVER SAW?"

SCRATCHER #2: "YES, IT WAS A PEACOCK AT THE ZOO."

I decided I was going to do my best to be cheerful through the rest of the trip and try to only look for the positive, not let these little setbacks get me down!
Boy was I in for a test!!

Hint for the future, Going to a farm,.... Cow poop, Chicken poop, Dog poop, Kid poop!!

TO BE CONTINUED......

P.S. In the Stall there was also someone who spells her name just like me, I've never seen that before,
and some who put, "I dont care who was here."
Well I care if they were famous. So there.
